On June 29, 2017, just days before the annual July 4th celebration of American independence and patriotism, the US began implementing a partial version of Donald Trump’s travel ban, restricting entry into the US from six Muslim-majority countries and from refugees without “bona fide” relationships in the US. As some celebrate, many around the world question whether the actions of the new administration align with the ideals of the country.
