Jan Beatty’s books include The Switching/Yard (2013), Red Sugar, Boneshaker, and Mad River (Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize), all published by the University of Pittsburgh Press. Beatty hosts and produces Prosody, a public radio show on NPR affiliate WESA-FM featuring national writers. Awards include the Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry, two PCA fellowships, the Creative Achievement Award from the Heinz Foundation, and inclusion in Best American Poetry 2013. She directs the creative writing program at Carlow University and the Madwomen in the Attic workshops, and teaches in the MFA program.

Lou Boyle is a professor of English and director of the Core Curriculum at Carlow University. He is the author of T.H. White’s Reinterpretation of Malory’s Le Morte Darthur and has authored articles and presented papers on the Arthurian legend. His most recent article is '‘Ruled by Merlin’: Counseling Patterns, Mirrors for Princes, and Malory’s ‘Tale of King Arthur’,' published in the international journal Arthuriana, the journal of the North American branch of the International Arthurian Society. He has presented papers on Arthurian topics at the International Congress on Medieval Studies six times, and at the University of Bristol, U.K., 23rd Triennial Arthurian Congress.
