Sandee Gertz Umbach is the author of The Pattern Maker's Daughter, a poetry collection published by Bottom Dog Press in 2012. She is also completing a memoir, Some Girls Have Auras of Bright Colors. Gertz Umbach is a Fellowship Recipient from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts for poetry, the winner of the Sandburg-Livesay Award and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her work has appeared in journals such as Poet Lore, Gargoyle, Green Mountains Review, The Ledge, The Potomac Review, Sistersong: Women Across Cultures and several anthologies. She has an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Wilkes University.
