Description and Reader Names: Take your writing to the next level with CNF’s new series of weeknight workshops. Explore the meaning of a memory tugging at you, share an indelible experience, or find the bigger story that will help you connect with readers. Our craft-based workshops draw from Lee Gutkind’s experience and Creative Nonfiction’s 22 years as a leading voice in the genre. This series of three workshops will teach you strategies and skill sets to apply to your personal writing process.

The first workshops
Writing Your True Story will be taught by Anjali Sachdeva, formerly the Director of Educational Programs at CNF and currently a Visiting Lecturer in English at the University of Pittsburgh. Anjali will share and discuss exemplary essays, steer you through short writing exercises, and suggest ways forward as she gives you personalized feedback. Class members will receive optional writing exercises to complete between classes.
