Description and Reader Names: Conversations and Connnections is a one-day writer's conference that brings together writers, editors, and publishers in a friendly, supportive environment. The conference is organized by Barrelhouse magazine, and has been held for the past 8 years in DC, and the past 2 in Philadelphia. All proceeds go to Barrelhouse and participating small presses and literary magazines. Roxane Gay, acclaimed author of BAD FEMINIST and UNTAMED STATE, will keynote. Other panelists include area writers Sheryl St. Germain, Joy Katz, Sherrie Flick, Aubrey Hirsch and Jeffrey Condran of Braddock Avenue Books.
