People's University: Exploring Women of the Bible, Mystics and Saints Writing Workshop
Squirrel Hill Library
10/20/2014
6:00 PM - 7:45 PM
Workshop
Multigenre
Carnegie Library
$0.00

Description and Reader Names: Join us as we explore women of the Bible through writing. Who were these women, what would they say and how would they tell their stories? What would they be like today, in the 21st century— a world of social media and shrinking face-to-face interactions? How do their stories impact our lives and our faith?

Discussions will be enhanced by related modern poems and prose that will give us new perspectives, humor and inspiration for our writing. Writing prompts will be offered to inspire and deepen the texts and give these women presence and ourselves an opportunity for strong, clear voice through our words. Weekly writes in class will be supplemented by home writing and optional sharing of work in a supportive, open forum.
Registration required.
