Description and Reader Names: Low Ghost Press is very proud to be hosting an afternoon reading by four of our very favorite writers...ever! Don't miss this one, folks, John and Ally don't get into town too often, so this may be your only shot to see and hear these incredible wordslingers. If that wasn't enough of a draw we've got the Lion of Liliput himself, Don Wentworth, and the always breathtaking M. Callen!! Did I mention it was FREE?! Whoo boy, I think I need a cold shower already.
John Grochalski is the author of The Noose Doesn
’t Get Any Looser After You Punch Out (Six Gallery Press 2008), Glass City (Low Ghost Press, 2010), and the forthcoming The Sun Causes Cancer. Grochalski currently lives in Brooklyn, New York, where he constantly worries about the high cost of everything.
Ally Malinenko writes poems and stories and occasionally gets them published. Her second book of poems entitled Crashing to Earth is forthcoming from Tainted Coffee Press and her first novel for children, Lizzy Speare and the Cursed Tomb will be published this fall by Antenna Books. She currently lives in Brooklyn with her husband where she can still get a three dollar beer.
M. Callen is a multidisciplinary artist and poet from Philadelphia. She is the recipient of fellowships from the Atlantic Center for the Arts, the Bucknell Seminar for Younger Poets, and the Vermont Studio Center. Her work has appeared in Fence, The New Guard, Gigantic, and other publications.
Don Wentworth's first book from Six Gallery Press, Past All Traps, was shortlisted for the Haiku Foundation's 2011 'Touchstone Distinguished Book Awards' and a Nov/Dec 2011 Small Press Review featured 'Pick.' He is the long time editor of Lilliput Review, a magazine that features the short poem, and his work has appeared in such venues as Modern Haiku, Rolling Stone, The New Yinzer, tinywords, Frogpond and bear creek haiku.
