Description and Reader Names: Composing Women’s Lives: A Writing Retreat For Women by Women

The Buddha said that our work is to discover our work and, then, with all of our heart, to give ourselves to it. The only requirement for this women's writing retreat is a desire to wrap words around your inner thoughts and voices. Simply summon your courage (or borrow the group’s if you are in the process of finding your own) and join us. All levels and genres are welcome. Attendance will be limited to 15.

A veteran of the renowned University of Iowa Summer Writing Festival and the University of New Mexico’s Taos Summer Writers’ Conference, Diane Hernon Chavis is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Executive Communications at the University of Pittsburgh. A former trial lawyer, Diane offers this retreat for women who have a story to tell, and don’t we all.

The two-day retreat begins on Friday, June 17 (1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.), and continues on Saturday, June 18 (9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
