May 24 - Lisa Alexander, Cara Armstrong, Darla Himeles & Lori Wilson

Lisa Alexander is a member of The Madwomen in the Attic writing workshop. Her work has been published in journals such as The Burnside Review, The Critical Point and The Palimpsest Review, and anthologized in Voices from the Attic. She's a sound engineer for Prosody, NPR-afiliate WYEP's weekly show featuring the work of National writers.

Cara Armstrong lives in Ligonier, PA, with quite a cast of characters, including 4 rescue cats—Alice, Molly, Nigella, and Madeleine. Inspired by place, she is the author and illustrator of the children’s book Moxie: The Dachshund of Fallingwater and co-author of Wright Panorama and a Guide to Cleveland’s Sacred Landmarks.

Darla Himeles's poems and review have appeared or are forthcoming in Mad Poets Review, Rattle, Pleiades, and Poetica Magazine. She lives in Castine, a tiny town on the coast of Maine with her wife and two orange tabby cats.

Lori Wilson lives and works as a computer systems analyst in Morgantown, West Virginia. She is the author of the poetry collection House Where a Woman (Autumn House Press, 2009). Her poems and reviews have appeared in Women’s Review of Books, Southern Poetry Review, Kestrel, Georgetown Review, 5 AM and elsewhere.

Short bio: Joan E. Bauer is the author of The Almost Sound of Drowning (Main Street Rag, 2008). With Judith Robinson and Sankar Roy, she co-edited Only the Sea Keeps: Poetry of the Tsunami (Bayeux Arts, 2005). With Jim Cvetic, she co-facilitates the Hemingway's Summer Poetry Series in Pittsburgh.
