Description and Reader Names: The Carnegie Library Sunday Poetry & Reading Series occurs every 3rd Sunday of each month and features readings from academic, experimental and spoken-word Pittsburgh poets and writers. Free!

Lisa Alexander is student in the MFA-in-Poetry program at Drew University, and also a member of the Madwomen in the Attic Writing Workshop. She is a sound engineer for Prosody, NPR-affiliate WYEP’s weekly radio show featuring poets and writers.

Victoria Dym is a graduate of Ringling Brother’s Barnum and Bailey Clown College and has also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and MFA in Creative Writing - Poetry. She has appeared on stage, in movies, television, radio and as a stand-up comedian. Her poetry has been published in various anthologies, Pittsburgh Post Gazette, City Paper, and Pearl Magazine. She is a certified Laughter Yoga Leader and an active Madwoman. Dym teaches poetry at the Winter and Summer Institutes, has guest-lectured at schools and universities, and was named a Mellon Middle School Poet in Person. She has two cats, Mook and Tanner, and has never had a cavity.

Short bio: Renee Alberts' poetry and visual art have appeared in dance performances, live radio shows and at least one tattoo. She is author of the poetry collection No Water and editor of Natural Language.
