Description and Reader Names: Pittsburgh Writer Maureen McGranaghan will read poetry and fiction at the Carnegie Library in Oakland on Sunday, October 21 at 2 PM (Quiet Reading Room, 1st floor).

Maureen McGranaghan is a poet, playwright, and novelist. Her chapbook of poetry Attached to Earth was published in 2011 by Finishing Line Press, and her plays have been performed by the Workshop Theater Company (New York City), Barrington Stage Company, the Bakerloo Theatre Project, Bricolage Production Company, Tennessee Stage Company, and Jacksonville State University. She teaches playwriting and screenwriting at Pittsburgh CAPA: A Creative and Performing Arts Magnet School and holds degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and Trinity College, Dublin. She is currently at work on her second novel.

Attached to Earth will be available for sale.

The reading is part of the Carnegie Library's Sunday Poetry Series, which takes place on the third Sunday of every month. Paula Bohince reads on November 18, and Adam Matcho, Karen Dietrich, and Kelly Scarff read from their contest winning chapbooks on December 16.
